this was a surprise
Dec. 29th, 2010 08:38 pmHonest, I am not this stupid, people! I swear!
Got up this morning. Went into the bathroom was hearing things...a tiny meow. Very tiny. Went out into the kitchen and listened around. In the covered litter box. Look in, and a teeny-tiny little grey-stripped kitten is in there. *covered* in litter (ICK!) dry, but still with...stuff..hanging off it. Got a warm damp cloth, picked it up, wiped it down and worked the (placenta?) stuff off it. Frosty Kitty comes up. Her fat tummy was not as fat, and she was very worried.
Well, guess that answered the "why are you getting so fat, cat?" question.
but, only the 1 kitten. It's been well over 12hours.
They are currently sleeping in a side-turned plastic bin, inside the big wire dog crate. I have it rigged to Cat Size for entry and exit. SamDog has this OCD about kittens. He keeps wanting to pick them up in his mouth, carry them around and lick them. Not bad, until you consider the fact he is *120lbs of Mastiff!!!!*
Well, that is my excitement for the end of the year. Started the year early with 5 kittens being born. Seems appropriate that I end the year with a kitten. :-/
