And the new Gov has gone on record as saying that "unborn children need every protection offered by law" I think I got that horrendous quote correct. Of course, I knew that was only time. *sigh*

COLUMBUS, Ohio %u2014 Ohio will be the staging ground for a new abortion limit that would prohibit women from ending pregnancies at the first detectable fetal heartbeat, which can occur as early as 18 days after conception.
Republican Rep. Lynn Wachtmann is preparing to unveil the "Heartbeat Bill" on Wednesday, the first proposal of its kind in the nation, 10TV's Chuck Strickler reported.
The bill was created by Janet Folger Porter, a native Ohioan and president of the conservative interest group Faith2Action. She helped craft the America's first partial-birth abortion ban while a legislative director at Ohio Right to Life.
NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio and other abortion rights groups plan to oppose the bill.

Date: 2011-02-08 11:58 pm (UTC)Does this mean that abortion is going to be an offense again? When does the right of the woman that has been raped come into it? Where is the right of choice? "Have the baby and put it up for adoption"...isn't there enough children in foster homes and children homes - that have grown up and are out of the "cute" stage?
Is it going to get to the stage where one has to lift a heavy box or something equally as heavy to force a miscarraige instead of going to a clinic and having it removed properly? With the right of psych help? With the support of others who have been through this sometimes heartwrenching decision?
...
(My views...nothing more is here)
